Let’s talk about aerial shows! If you’re a new or early aerial performer - regardless of apparatus - this workshop is perfect for you. We’ll be talking about key considerations for an aerial performance (such as rigging, equipment, costuming do’s and dont’s, etc.) and practicing some movement quality exercises you can use to develop, fine-tune, and clean up your piece. By the end of this workshop, you’ll have the tools you need to craft a stellar aerial performance!!! Please come to the workshop with a flow/piece of choreography at least 45 seconds long on your chosen apparatus that you can do comfortably and repeatedly. We will use this flow for our movement quality exercises. Please note, students should be able to get through their chosen flow with minimal instructor supervision/support - this shouldn’t be all of your hardest moves. As the great Mel Fox says, “don’t be a hero” :) Please email Bloom hello@bloommovementsrtistry.com or Laura myerslk22@gmail.com with any questions! See you there!
Students should have taken at least 4 aerial classes and should be able to move through a flow/progression of their choosing on an apparatus of their choosing. We will specifically be talking about the Student Bonanza show on 5/11/24 but this workshop is for anyone with any aerial experience who is interested in learning about performing an aerial piece!
