Open House: Sling
What is sling? Literally, it’s a set of silks rigged upside-down. In practice, it’s a little bit like every apparatus while still being completely unique! If you’ve ever tried lyra, trapeze, loops, or silks before, you may recognize some moves or sequences. If you’re brand new to aerial, never fear: you’re in for a fun journey. The one thing sling is definitely NOT is aerial yoga: you will be moving and sweating in this class! We’ll talk about spinning, inverting, sequencing, and finding cool moves all within the loop of the sling.
We recommend students wear or bring clothing covering their midriff, armpits, and backs of knees. Sling will feel a little squeezy at first, but the more time you spend on the apparatus, the more comfortable you’ll feel!
Prerequisites: None! Just come with an open mind and a willingness to try something new.
Prerequisites: the desire to grow oneself, learn a new skill, and get stronger in the process. Also, must want to have fun!
